Alva Noto's first solo release in 4 years is a continuation to the Xerrox series. The elements of the tracks are still very much textured with the signature sound you'd come to expect. However, each track feels more personal and intimate. There are moments where silence and subtlety play a key role in setting the mood--I wouldn't say darker, but perhaps, moodier that tends to linger and sit with you for awhile. Overall, very nice. This may be too early to say, but probably one of the best releases of 2015 so far.
