  • Getting back into ruby (29 Aug 2019)
I think I'm on my way back into the swing of things; at least, I'm trying to anyways. Not too much has really happened since I was last active. At least not anything in the programming world that is. But lately, I've picked Ruby back up and trying to get back into the swing of things. I thought it would be handy to have knowledge of Ruby and Rails if I were to land a job as a backend developer, or even systems admin. It's handy to know at least one scripting language, and I just love the syntax.
  • New year same old site (16 Jan 2019)
After working on and off with the new site design, I felt that it was too buggy for me to continue to update, troubleshoot, and maintain all the time. So I've decided to go back with my previous site at least for now. It works, and I've got a few scripts in place to work with anyways.
  • Ruby Ruby Ruby (24 Feb 2017)
It's been awhile since I've posted an update, but you know, holidays can be a busy time for all. My main focus for the last couple of days has been learning more command line and programming skills.

  • A Python in my Flask (21 Oct 2016)
It's been awhile, but I'm currently working on a few tutorials for learning Flask. I've enjoyed working with Python so much lately that I thought it may be more fun to continue using Python for the web.
  • Forward plans (21 May 2016)
It's been awhile. And the directions I've taken in the past couple of months are... kind of all of the map. That is, each week/weekend, I start digging into a new language, or overhaul a laptop with another Linux distro. This is all well and good, but not productive for the long run.
  • PHP and me (22 Mar 2016)
I decided sometime last week to put Python aside for a moment while I started working on a personal project. The goal of the project is to create a web app to help catalog my son's Thomas mini trains. So far, it's a basic CRUD app built using PHP and MySQL.
